Are you sure the one you ordered was not also Elie Tahari?  Want to hear more about China.  Sounds very exotic!  Trying not to use too many excalamtion points after  watching the Seinfeld episode last night where Elaine is obsessed with them.(breaks up with her perfect boyfriend b/c he didn’t use one on the telephone message he took for her friend who called to say she had her baby)  Then she  almost gets fired for using them after every sentence in her editing job. Dear [redacted],  I checked over my e-mail from yesterday and I had a character wrong in your address. So of course you did not get my message.  It sure was great to hear from you last night.  Sounds as if you are getting use to being a New Yorker.  I am so glad you went to the [redacted] Club.. Did you see lots of people you know?  What a great way to keep in touch with everyone.  Did any other parents call your landlord?  I hope all is well after this pigeon fiasco.   Do you have a vacuum? That might help. I finally finished downloading all of the songs that Dad and I wanted from [redacted]. 352! Yikes ! That was a lot of typing for me.  We are taking a trip for Dad’s work next week and now we will have great music, between yours (that I got from your sister) and your brother’s. [redacted] and I went to do errands two days ago and one of the errands was to take back a sweater and dress to Black and White. She decided that she didn’t want to spend that much money and she didn’t need three dresses.  When we got there they were having a huge sale and almost everything we bought was 50% off the sale prices we paid. Yikes!  Well she took back her dress and on the way out she noticed that the dress she paid full price for had gone on sale once and then again for half of that  $80.00 off. We couldn’t believe it. The sales women told us we couldn’t make price adjustments after 10 days and it had been 11! So we went to another store actually two, and found it in her size and bought it Now we have to take the other back.  What shoppers we are.  We also went to get our new glasses and they are so cute.  I got the thing in the mail for you to get new glasses or contacts.  Do you have eye insurance? Hi, Everyone,

The moblie ICU and I made it here!  I am wearing shorts and sweating in the shade.  It is too cold, though, for ocean swimming or even pool swimming.  However, I am really enjoying the culture.  We are staying in a more or less authenic place (ie you have to boil the water!) where the courtyard is draped with bougainville flowers.  We have found the local eateries and festivals as opposed to the more specifically American places.  You can see the economy is on the upswing—locals wearing orthodontia, for example.  WalMart, Costco, and Home Depot are here, too.  We bought our water at WalMart.  I have not figured out how to
retrieve voice mail.  I think you can reach me by dialing xxx then xxxxx.  I have figured out how to call back and talked with Jo today.

I want to transfer my address book from Outlook Express to my flash- pin thingy. I have found out how to do it, but how do you “Select all” again?

I love the peaches.  My kitchen counters are resplendent with their perfectly round, juicy little bodies.  Even the sun was red to match (last night’s grass fire near Sweet and Ola).  Imagine joining me for sliced peaches and relaxing conversation.  I am also caring for Chris’s peaches.  A truly wonderful gift!!! How did you find Frogland Farms?

Hey Kiddo,

How about we figure out about who pays for what on your cell phone?  This month your total portion came to $35.35, what with a $7.64 download, the usual monthly minutes, $5 insurance, and $10 unlimited texting and such. Plus taxes surcharges, and all the usual.  That’s not a small chunk of change anymore.  

Not to make your life hard or anything but what say you start picking up these phone charges?  Dad and I could actually drop down to 700 minutes and save more money, because you are actually the largest minutes user now that we have a landline that we use more and more. So we are keeping the minutes higher just for you.  

What do you think makes sense now that you are out and earning well?

Did you leave a recent message on my machine? It’s you, and it says call me, but I also just listened to one from Dan from almost 2 wks. ago. I hate this telephone!!! How is your poison ivy progressing? Do any other outfits sell doggy trailers, or are they the only ones? Gotta go.

How do I google former classmates?

Well, you won’t believe this but I just used eBay to buy Girl Scout cookies. No one ever came to my door and I wasn’t going to worry about it because I thought you guys would rather not have the calories, but then Dev was so bummed I had to figure out what to do. SO, I ended up on eBay of all places, and bought one case of Thin Mints and one case of Tagalongs for a million dollars each. I hope I did it correctly … As soon as they arrive – IF they arrive -  I will split the cases and send them to you. Next year, I will find a Girl Scout somewhere and order them in the normal way.

THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE FUNNIEST!!!
Some of them really do sound like me!  The “24 hours and I haven’t spoken to you so I’m worried” one at least makes me feel more normal!  I can identify with just about all of them.  I know exactly what they’re feeling.  We are a strange lot, though, aren’t we?
