Older Men

This is just a word to the wise and I am sending this so you can read this at your leisure. I need you to be careful as well of older men because they look wiser and all but they are sneaky too. How old do you think your dad was?? heh heh 13 years older than me. But anyway he knows you and **** and he has heard your situation. Sometimes men are just waiting on the sidelines for you without letting you know they want you too. And always protect yourself when you :-O because you never know. :-)

Love ya

Mom

I don’t want to have to add him to my list of people I have to beat up for you.

Too bad my OWN momma did not give me this advice when I met my husband……

“:-O”, so that’s what the kids are calling it these days

I loved the PS. It’s something my stepmom would say.

OK. I will totally and completely offer to make a list for my children of people I have to beat up for them.

My mom has given me just this same advice. But she didn’t use an emoticon…

OMG!!! My mom told me this when I started dating the man who later became my husband! I was so mortified!! He was only six years older than me!! (Which I guess looks bigger when you’re 23).

I got this whole lecture about older guys being more experienced with sex… and like me, being what she thought was virginal (ha ha), she feared I would be taken advantage of because he was so much older. But, gee, aren’t men of any age capable of being the overwhelming agressor??

This posting was from an email my mother sent to me. I was going through a messy breakup with my long-term boyfriend and the “older man,” a good friend of mine, was starting to look mighty attractive. I told him I was interested and he simply said that I wasn’t ready to move on yet. I was crushed, but I value his friendship (and his wisdom) so I let it go.

Since then, my ex and I have gotten back together and the “older man” and I remain good friends.

I think I’m very fortunate to have caring, wise people like my mother and my friend to look after me :)
