SOME MACE IS A GREAT IDEA

I thought for a minute there was no shower  and I was a little nervous . It looks like a residential  area are you sure there are no gangs up there because I know that these gangs live in some Chicago neighborhoods and they do drive bys so you should definately ask about crime statistics . Even if it is gated they can shoot into the widows so  be sure you find out about that sort of thing . I know we have even had a gang murder here in recent weeks  and also since the car is a mini it may be a target for a carjacking so don’t let Robin go out alone or maybe  SOME MACE IS A GREAT IDEA. i DO LOVE HARDWOOD FLOORS THEY ARE AWESOME AND OH SHIT ok caps off  it looks very city like you see on those New York shows and just wait until you decorate it and it will be fun because you will have MONEY to spend . I think it will be very nice and I look forward to visiting. Do they have their own police station or is it the chicago police?

HAH! Being a Chicagoan, I really want to know what part of Chicago they are talking about.

And no, I don’t think having a mini makes you any more likely to get broken in to. But maybe if you have a Lexus or BMW that you park on the street!

I also definitely want to know what neighborhood (or suburb maybe?) this mom is warning her offspring about. It would be great if it’s Wilmette or Kenilworth…or Wicker Park or something…

It was Logan Square.

“AWESOME AND OH SHIT ok caps off ”

HAHA! Classic.

Logan Square is not Kenilworth.

My college roommate lived in Logan Square for an internship one summer and nothing bad happened to her car. Just walk in pairs or on a cell phone at night until you get comfortable.

I live in Logan Square; it’s mostly just silly artsy kids, nothing to be afraid of.

I live in Chicago in my 20s and no matter what neighborhood you live in, a non-Chicago mom will freak out about every possible crime that MIGHT happen within a 50 mile radius of her child. You get used to it!

haha, when I moved to Logan Square people back home kept asking me what suburb I lived in. I love that she’s like, “Is it the Chicago police or do they have their own police station?” Amazing. So many Logan Square kids representing. That’s awesome.
