LOL — this is so much funnier than it first appears. Poor mom. Once while I was traveling with my family, I got out of the shower to realize that my mom had spent about 10 minutes, unsuccessfully, trying to explain to the hotel staff that we didn’t need the room cleaned, just more towels. Good thing I know some Spanish.
What i like most about the mothers is that they always try the hardest to speak the language when on vacation. It’s always funny to heard them pronounce words as Disculpe and Por Favor
:p
"I'm named after the song A Letter to Elise by The Cure, and my middlenames: Klara and Lisel were chosen because my mom had a dream about having a daughter named Klara, and she promised my great-grandmother that she would name me Lisel."

Someone has a Spanish housekeeper! Point your mom to one of those translation websites – I’m sure they would be of much use to her : )

I love it. My mom often asked me if I could “speak housekeeper” to the cleaning lady. Circa Clueless. Love it.
