(still helping/guiding my babies)

Dana,
Can you check Bobby’s away message and tell him:
1. No drinking during the work week. The wkds are for that, that’s why it’s the wkd, so you don’t go to your employer smelling like booze, hung over, risking you job.
2. Don’t put an away message up that might offend someone. If that girl see’s or hear’s of that away message she’ll be hurt. She probably thought she met her Prince Charming and he call’s her a hooker.
3. Now that you’re out of college, no more binge drinking, casual drinking only, then you wouldn’t be kissing a stranger.
If you tell him he won’t get mad at me.
Thanks for your help.
Love,
Mom (still helping/guiding my babies)

Are you going to do it?

Yeah, siblings can say “WTF?” to each other and they’ll listen. Same advice said nicely from mom is ignored.

we do the same thing in my family. Somethings my mom asks me to tell my brother or father, and somethings I ask mom to tell them. It’s a sad state of communication,….but effective none the less. :o)

i’d like to know what the away message actually said!

Yeah I get this all the time. My mom says, “text your sister and tell her this, see if she responds to you”. My sister is notorious for ignoring my mom’s phone calls, texts, emails for weeks on end.

Yup. I know how that goes. It drives my mom nuts that she can tell my sisters something and it’s ignored. When I tell them the same thing mom did, it’s better received and taken under consideration.

My mom tries to get me to do this and I say hell no. My brother isn’t going to trust me if I’m constantly spoon-feeding him my mom’s instructions on life. She’s the mom, she should grow up!

My brother would be pissed too if I told him something like that. And he would see right through it and know it was from Mom.

Mom is right, you know!

Hi Everyone-

I’m the big sis, “Dana,”….the away message (which evidently is a quote from Family Guy) said “need to get the taste of beer and hooker spit out of my mouth”….or something to that effect.

My mother interpreted that to mean that my brother got drunk and hooked up with a random girl at a bar, and was publicly calling her a hooker via AIM.

Gotta love Mom :-)

This reminds me so much of my family…
