I’ve noticed (from my own parents and others) that adults find this milestone incredibly exciting and feel the need to share it with loved ones.
On a slightly different note, when my dad talks about his first colonoscopy he always recounts, “I haven’t been sitt’n right since!” Makes me eager for my first : (
My poor mom was scared to death of her colonoscopy! I had to take her and she was almost in tears the whole week before - the upside, she had a gigantic crush on the dr that was doing the procedure.
