ULTIMATE PARTY (meatballs)

Hi,

I was on the oceanspray.com/recipes website to look for an appetizer meatball recipe which I had seen in a magazine and I thought it looked good.

It’s called Ultimate party meatballs

2 1-pound bags of frozen pre-cooked cocktail-size meatballs (about64)
1 16-oonce can Ocean Spray jellied cranberry sauce
1 12- ounce bottle Heinz Chili sauce.

Combine cranberry sauce and chili sauce in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring until smooth.
Add meatballs, stir gently to coat. Cook 12-15 minutes. Place in slow cooker to keep warm.

Love and hugs,

Mom

I just threw up in my mouth a little. That sounds absolutely disgusting.

Not that much different from Lil’ Smokies (Cocktail Weenies) that people make for parties. My recipe calls for the lil smokies, grape jelly, and kraft bbq sauce. You’d never know it was an odd combo like that, especially since there are never any left at the end of the night! :)

Actually, I have learned that if you mix stuff up and put int in the slow cooker, it tastes better then it sounds!

Seriously folks, I have made this in my crock pot every holiday season for the last 25 years. They are DELICIOUS! I always get a request for the recipe and no one ever believes that it only takes 3 ingrediants! U can also use store brand grape jelly instead of cranberry sauce – either way – Fab.U.Lus!

It does sound gross – but I can’t begin to tell you how INCREDIBLY good this recipe is! Seriously! People go crazy for them at parties.

I just saw this recipe–it was in the coupon section of my Sunday newspaper–next to the coupons for the Oceanspray Cranberry.
