Do you know when that Dick’s store is supposed to open? I thought it would be by the end of the 1st or 2nd week of March. Dad is all excited about all the stuff we’re getting out here. You should’ve seen the look on his face when I told him I didn’t know he was a “Dick lover.” Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

good one mom! I live in Spokane and downtown on 3rd and Brown there is a really cheap hamburger joint called Dick’s Hamburgers. I have taken the family there many many times cause I can feed a family of 6 for 20 to 25 bucks. Anyway, its right off of Interstate 90 and as we were driving buy on the freeway you could smell the burgers and fries and from the back seat i heard: Um, I smell Dicks. Of course everybody in the car was cracking up and he got the ribbing of his life about smelling dicks.

Back in the 80s, my mom, my sister, my sister-in-law and I were driving home from an excursion and talking about the food we wanted to make for everyone. Mom said, referring to a 7-layer dip, “Let’s have some of that Mexican dick you were telling me about!” Because it was Mom, we couldn’t laugh outright, much less teaser her about it; but there was a loooonnng silence and everybody, including her, was sporting a big grin.
