hahaha. once my fam and i were camping and mom and i were in the bath house… just showered and were getting ready to exit as she decides to liberally apply lotion all over her legs arms and neck… then kept saying how sticky it felt in the bathhouse bc of the humidity. i looked a the bottle and it was shower gel. hahahahaha.

This is something I would do. A week ago, I put Clean & Clear on my toothbrush instead of the little tube of Sensodyne I had (from the back they looked VERY similar and I was groggy in the morning!) and a few years ago I used a body wash for days as lotion, and didn’t realize that it was body wash (WITH lotion) instead of just lotion until my skin started getting very dry, itchy, and red. :)

this is why coffee is an essential part of any morning routine

I do this more often than I’d like to admit. Luckily, it normally happens while I’m still in the shower and doesn’t involve toothpaste. Every couple of weeks, I hop in the shower still a bit groggy and try to wash my hair with Clean n Clear face wash. My large black bottle of Tresemme looks nothing like the small clear pump bottle full of face wash and my shampoo is clear while my face wash is amber. But, nonetheless, once in a while, I still rub my hands together lathering up my face wash and thinking about washing my face and then apply it to my hair.

Once, I got out of the shower without soaping up at all. I knew something was weird because my skin felt strange when I turned off the water, but I couldn’t figure out what it was until I went through the whole thing in my head. I have a specific shower routine and every now and then, my mind wanders and I switch steps around and end up skipping something vital. Like soap.

I always wash my hair first in the shower now, because during a particularly stressful period I’d get out of the shower and realize I had forgotten to wash it (it happened more than once). One time it was hours after, at work.
Love this mom–makes me grateful I don’t use hair product…

Ok don’t anyone feel bad here. I am at the ripe old age of 21 and I am forever getting in the shower with at least one artical of clothing on!!! no lie…. last night it was my underwear and I didn’t realize it till I was already completely wet! I can’t imagine how I will be at 60 heck… how bad will it be at 30 even?!

And that is why I shower in the evening before going to bed…It could be 3 in the morning and I’ll still hit the shower before going to sleep. Because if I waited and did it in the morning I would end up forgetting something vital, like washing my hair…

I’ve done something very similar, I was in a hurry one morning and had run back into the bathroom for a quick shot of hairspray. I’d closed my eyes and let it fly. I realized something was wrong when I started smelling “scrubbing bubbles” instead of my hairspray. I opened my eyes and had foaming hair…

This brings back memories! Years ago while on vacation my mother was in a big hurry to get to the beach ahead of all of us. All afternoon she kept saying that she had a strange taste in her mouth; turns out that she had put Polysporin instead of denture adhesive in her upper dentures. We laughed about that one for a good long time!

Ok I still feel like a granny when I put face wash in my hair but I suddenly feel much better. I’m really not the only one.

Where can I get some of that frizzeze? As a naturally curly haired old momma living in humidity hell, I NEED it.

My mom was going to a formal party and insisted she needed to spray her hair just 1 more time. She came out of the bathroom and we smelled something strange.
She had grabbed a can of RAID instead of Aquanet.
Sad at the time, funny now.
