Courier Possums

Backstory: We live in Texas and my mom is going to visit a friend in Alabama. This is the first time she will be traveling with a cell phone.

How are you? I had fun witchu yesterday. I will miss you for 11 days, but you can still text me. If you want to. Or call. I think they have phone service in Alabama. Or do they? Send me a message by courier possum!!

      Yes, we do have cell service here in ‘Bama. In the paved-road parts of town, anyway.

      We even have neighbors! I had someone ask me once, how close my neighbors house was to mine? I said about 10 feet…he apparently thought we lived miles from each other! (typical sterotype!)

      I have also heard that there are practically no branches on the family tree as everybody is related. Maybe 4 sets of genes in the whole state.

      Here in Arkansas, we still have to climb the pole (remember Green Acres?) to make phone calls. Making them is ok, but answering the phone is another matter entirely!
