Just wanted you to know, I added the printer myself. Went to HP and found the driver and installed it. I can be pretty smart when I want to be. hahaha! Love you. Mom
Backstory: I have a really great email address that I’ve had for years – it’s just my first name at mac.com. The only problem with it is I get this kind of email fairly often. Unfortunately, this isn’t my Mom. She figured out how to setup her printer, but she doesn’t know her kid’s email address.

omigod HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this! Did the OP respond?
My aunt once left a voicemail for my cousin asking her to bring hot dogs to a BBQ. The man she accidentally dialed called her back asking if he could come to the BBQ if he brought the hot dogs.

This is by far my favorite entry.

It’s the “I can be pretty smart when I want to be” that makes it art.

This sounds like something my wife would do. She once was trying to email me a rather personal email about possible plans for the evening once we went to bed and accidentally sent it to her former manager who was right next to me in out outlook address book. He did not appreciate receiving that email one bit, but I did have an enjoyable evening! :)

I’m so going to be that mom when I get older. I called my brother one time and left him this really long, obnoxious voice mail that actually had no other point except to annoy him and basically ask him to tell our mother to call me. Then I hung up and realized I’d dialed my cousin instead. So I had to call my cousin and leave another voice mail to apologize and tell him to disregard it all, and that I’d see him at the next family gathering!
Funny thing is, my sister did the exact same thing one time to the same cousin. He must hate being right next to our brother in our contacts list.

this happens to me ALL THE TIME. i get e-mails from guys to their wives, from bosses to their employees, from students to their teachers… my name is pretty common, and i’ve got First.Last@gmail so i get a LOT of misdirects. i always try to write them and correct it. The funniest was the one from a guy to a girl he’d met at a business lunch, either she gave him a ditch e-mail, or he wrote it down wrong. poor fella!

i don’t understand this… a stranger e-mailed this to her? or her mom wrote it to someone else? the back story wasn’t clear.
