My mother is diabetic. I still buy treats I know she is not supposed to have and put them in her fridge. Does anybody really expect a person to live the rest of their lives without endulging once in a while? Would you really want to live 40 years without being able to enjoy a candy bar every once in a while?

My mom did this to me. I told her to stop blaming other people for her lack of will.

Whenever one of us (5 sibs) ever do anything my parents don’t like, my response has always been “I blame the parents!” Demon children, love it!

My mother’s saying is, “Life is uncertain – eat dessert first.” She has gone through phases in recent years of eating almost nothing but pie and Pop-Tarts. And I know what you’re thinking – she’s actually underweight… why didn’t I inherit that metabolism.

Haha it was my mom who said this. My parents moved to London so we have an apartment in the US that we all visit and consider “home”. During my last visit, I stopped across the street at the Dairy Queen and left the cake for my sister. I guess my mom got to it before she did!
