One of those Old People Days

I have finally landed at home, so here I am to bug you. Been one of those old people days. I went looking for my coffee cup this morning, couldn’t find it anywhere. Dad looked in the fridge and pantry, I said I didn’t come and get another cup of coffee yesterday, so just hoped it would show up or else we knew the coffee cup elf had been here. Well, when I got home from church today, decided to get a cup of coffee, opened the microwave to heat it up, and there sat my cup pretty as could be, full of the coffee I never got to yesterday!

Off to the grocery store, buy 4 12 packs of coke brand cans, get a 5th free, and 2 Hillshire smoked sausage packs free. OMG, the old people were like Christmas morning toy sale buyers at Toys R Us. Fussing at each other, and the stuff was stacked as high as we are tall. I decided to do the rest of my shopping first and come back, but when I got to the sausage spot, it was get out of my way grabbing.
So glad to be home and alive!

Wow! Free sausage! That doesn’t happen in life often enough, at least in my life, anyway. Where does she shop? I have some serious catching up to do. And thanks for reminding me where I left my coffee cup. LOL I seem to be having quite a few of those Old People Days. I didn’t need to be reminded of that though. Denial is a viable tool!

after talking to my mom today, who confessed to having a “blank spot” for a few weeks in June after me and my brother were there to visit, I am pretty positive she could have written this…..she totally shops the same way!

buy one get one free — yes please….even for stuff she doesn’t need/want/eat.

it’s nice to know i am not alone:)

I once put a piece of fish in the regular oven, didn’t turn it on, forgot about it, and the next day walked into the house and gasped,”God, what stinks in here??” I was like 22!! I thought I had a dad squirrel behind the baseboards or something. Took me twenty minutes to find.

      ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ I meant a ‘dead squirrel’, not a papa squirrel!

Wow, I’m not even offically ‘old’, yet, but I’ve had days like that (coffee hiding out in the microwave, etc).

And I love how she and I agree as to how we feel when we survive supermarket day with old people….
