He said that he used to run home after school to watch a favorite TV show that he was crazy about and now he is going to play the part of the main character…BARNABAS COLLINS in Dark Shadows. Guess who else used to run home, although I was a little older, and watch Dark Shadows? That’s right, me. I can’t wait. Some things never change. Once dark always dark.

Wow, what a flashback….I used to jump off the schoolbus in the sixties and race my sister to the tv to watch Dark Shadows.

While other girls were putting up posters of Bobby Sherman and Bill Mumy, I was putting up posters of Jonathon Frid and David Selby.

My mum loved to tell me stories about racing home to watch Dark Shadows. So funny. I’ll have to email her about this, I hadn’t heard they were doing a movie.

I am a major Johnny Depp fan, and also a fan of most things vampiric, so, see ya in the theater. Strangely, I didn’t really like the old Dark Shadows series much, it was too slow-moving-plotlines-of-soap-opera and not enough ooey-gooey-horror-vampire for my taste back then. We’ll see if a movie pace is any improvement.

I too used to race home to watch Dark Shadows and then would sit, scared to death, waiting for my mom to come home from work. I finally had to switch to General Hospital. I’m still deathly arfraid of vampires and am quite sure they lurk among us. Guess I’ll be in the lobby if my daughters go to see this one!
