No Cougars or Ugly Daughters, Please

Backstory: I sent my mom some photos from college just to let her know I survived through the party weekend before finals. My facebook photo she references was of me wearing a leopard print shirt (that wasn’t revealing at all).

What a good looking group of friends!!

Miss you.  Where did you get the top for the facebook photo?  Just me but animal prints always seem shady or cougar like….You still look beautiful….have not changed in two weeks….hope you look the same when you get home….I could not stand having an ugly daughter…yes, I am that superficial…..dodged another bullet….I guess then we could have gotten you plastic surgery.

Study.

Love,
Mom

This mom wouldn’t happen to be Korean, would she?

Does mom really understand what “cougar” means? A college girl doesn’t fall into that category, animal print or not!

my mom is going to be so excited that she’s famous on the internet…or she’ll kill me. either way, thanks for publishing!
meesh – no, not korean. she’s a typical jewish mom, though, so…about the same attitude. :)

This sounds awful but … when I found out I was pregnant (single) and decided to keep and raise my baby, I used to pray that the baby would be cute! I felt like as long as I had a cute baby, I could manage being a single mom. It must have worked because, 22 years later, my son is a very good looking man (6’3″, dark hair, brown eyes, huge dimples – which my dr first noticed 2 days after he was born!). Shallow, I know.

It’s not shallow at all. I hope my 5 year stays impossibly cute. And think of it this way, the alternative would be to wish your kids were ugly. ;-P
