I feel glad now that my mom pretty much gave up hope on ever having grandkids 4 years ago, when I was 20. She told my father not to plan on having any, to which he replied, “Why? Is she like me?” He’s gay and the answer is no.

Wow… This is crazy for me because my mom is always pushing me to wait-wait-wait on kids and I’m 25. I’m scared that if I ever do get preggers, she will be devastated. “But what about your FUTURE?? Your JOB??” She has 4 kids, so maybe she’s just scared that once I start, I won’t stop… :)

I just turned 27 a couple weeks ago, and my mom’s the same way… My mom even signed me up for eharmony recently, because not only do I not have babies, there is no man in the picture to help provide them. I love her, but geez…

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear this mom was me. My daughter just blessed me with a grandchild – 3 weeks before she turned 26. I am sure this mom means well. Mothers do recall things like how many children they had at what age. It’s not always a call for grandchildren!
