"I asked myself the same question many a time during my years of teaching teenage boys! Poor Mom and poor Mr. Harrison.
(No, I never had X is a Penishead written on a desk, thank goodness, but I did have to throw out a dozen textbooks at the end of the year at one point because just about every picture had been, ahem, similarly embellished.)"— Anne

I could have totally have had this conversation with my mom, except my interjection probably would have something to do with World of Warcraft.
She would have responded with it being more wholesome than she feared anyway.

LOL! This sounds like a conversation I would have had with my parents when I was in high school. They had all the normal worries when my friends and I were staying out til 2am (playing capture the flag), skipping class (to see “Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring” on opening day), caught holding brown bottles in New Year’s Eve party pictures (gourmet root beer)… my gosh, we were huge geeks, but we had the BEST time. It’s been years since I’ve been to any party that required a costume (murder mystery dinners) or was based around a board/card game (Risk, Chez Geek, Fluxx), but I also haven’t had that much fun in years.
