hey,
just some catchin’ up..
Have you eaten any of the soups?
Who are your 3 closest friends at this point in time down there?
What are your thoughts on UM so far?
How do you feel about people using foul language on Facebook?
Do you think you can find a place somewhere down there for your hair…?
Have you looked into any other events or ministries? Non-profits things, volunteer events, etc?
How is the writing center? What can they provide?
What’s the food you most eat on campus?
When do you find out about the international program??
Did you ever get your surfboard over to Tay’s place?
Do you know why your cat meows SO loud???
Which class do you find most interesting?
How is the literature class coming?
Have you figured out your professors yet-what they are looking for in a test or paper?
Have you spoken with all of your teachers personally?
Have you made any friends in your classes?
OK, enough for now. Would love to hear from you.
Have a great day,
Mom

Wow. If I were her daughter, I’d send back just the answers to each question! Yes. No. I haven’t yet. It’s okay. I don’t care. Pizza. No. No…. etc. Of course, maybe the daughter already did. :-D

Call your mother! That’s really what she’s asking admidst all those questions :)

That sounds like my mother-in-law. Conversations with her are usually quizzes on the oddest things.

Awww, she misses you :-)

Oh my, are we sisters?? Because I get emails like this constantly.

This is completely how conversations with my dad are. When I tell him the boring answers (“the writing center is pretty okay?”), then the unsolicited advice starts.

lol…I love it! Either your mom really, really misses you a LOT and/or she has the gift of gab and was bursting at the seams to let it all out via email.

I wish my mom were this interested in what’s going on in my life!

Or just reply with one word: “yes.” that’s what I really love for people to do when I ask multiple questions requiring different answers.

This one is sweet – at least she is really interested :D

Sounds like Pepperdine University!

Wow! If i didn’t know better i’d think that was me. I ask my son a bunch of ???’s and he says, “i’m fine mom” or answers yes or no to about every 5th question.

Reminds me of when I first went to UM. Loved it.
I called home four times in the first month… They do keep you busy with Orientation and such. :) Good times.
P.S. I went to a great place in the Grove to get my hair done called Allure – a few of my sisters did as well. Oh yeah, and I’m sure you know by now, but ChopChop is life.
