They thought it signaled that she was secretly pregnant and possibly suicidal. My mom showed it to me, and I recognised it as the lyrics to a popular song. I tried explaining that some people use favorite song lyrics and quotes as statuses, but my mom remained unconvinced that it wasn't some kind of secret cry for help. THAT is why you never "friend" anyone who is too old to be familiar with the technology at hand, lol.
