Label Police

Backstory: This is one of a handful of times she’s met the long-term boyfriend, on a college visiting weekend, for brunch.

Great to see you this weekend. It’s been bothering me and I did not want to say anything but shouldn’t the Made of Italian Fabric label or what ever it was on D’s great coat sleeve be taken off? Seems someone will make fun of it if you don’t tell him. Maybe I am crazy… Hes a lovely guy. Hugs.

Hooray for your mom! She should start keeping nail clippers in her purse to help people with such situations. People just don’t know anymore that they should clip those off as well as to cut the strings sewing vents in jackets together (it’s so sad to see a great coat with the vent in the back still stuck closed). And, another big one, when people get new pants and they don’t cut off the string that the manufacturers use to sew the tags on the back pockets. So sometimes people are running around in black pants with these three blazing white patches of string on them.

oh it drives me crazy when people leave the label on their sleeve! it’s like the want to show off to everybody, “oh, my coat is 100% WOOL”.
