I saw a wild turkey in the bushes outside my semi-urban (Brookline, MA, for those of you who are familiar with the area) low-rise condo building a couple of months ago. Freaked me right the hell out. I grew up in the country, and I was like, dude. What are you doing in Coolidge Corner??? You belong in Connecticut.

I too have my own wild turkey obsession!!! As a NYC gal I’d never seen one before then lo and behold I saw a couple in Pelham Bay Park. I am now convinced they are a newly hitched couple trying to survive against hobos and Connecticut drivers.
