When I was in Kindergarten, the high school Spanish teacher came into our classroom to talk to our teacher about something and she had him stay to tell us what Spanish was (this was in a rural all-white town in the middle of nowhere, before there was even a Taco Bell or Chinese takeout place). He asked if any of us knew any Spanish words, and I showed him that I could count to 10 in Spanish. He said that my pronunciation was perfect and asked where I learned it. SESAME STREET, of course!
