Hi Sweetie – Guess what seredipitous thing happened in Palgrave – I was trailing along the sidewalk to get some milk for my 1st cafe of the day when a nice looking chick said to her friend “Hey look – it’s [mom's name]“ I was in a fog and at first had no clue who they were, which was going to turn into a cluster fuck as I would soon have to make cheery chat with them. Suddenly the fog cleared and the sun shone on my quondam hairdressers (I think that’s the first time I have ever used “quondam” without “rex futurus rexque”). They went missing when they left their old shop and the owner wouldn’t tell me where they were. So today at 2 I am going to get my medusa locks done, and I am so excited that I think I will do something really crazy. If worse comes to worst at least it is getting colder and I can buy some funky toques.
E me!!!!!!!!!!! I love you both – Mamacita – xoxoxoxxoxxox

Ok, so you made me google that! Quondam means “former”. The rest of the phrase is supposedly carved on the tomb of King Arthur and means “the once and future king” (basically).

Wow! This may be the best mom ever–great vocabulary plus she still says “fuck.” I want to be just like her.
(No kidding. I’m not being sarcastic.)

I love this mum, above all else because of her correct use of “worse comes to worst”.

H… she wasn’t writing to you. I’m sure if she had been she would have dumbed it down appropriately.
