Backstory: My sister and I were arguing about who owed money to whom. We were NOT upset, but my mother heard about it.
Dad called and I told him that you both were upset over money. He said,”My Gosh, I can’t believe that they would get their feelings hurt over a few dollars. Have they forgotten how blessed they are that they have each other and they have jobs and are not starving.”
You two have allowed money to influence your relationship with each other. Score a point for Satan.
Dad told me to stay out of it.
Love, MOM
This sounds _just_ like my parents, who are completely incapable of telling a simple disagreement apart from full-blown fisticuffs. My mother’s favorite tactic is to shout, “I love you!” in the middle of any such argument between myself and my siblings, which really doesn’t do anything but is very effective at making us temporarily shift any frustration from each other to her.

I love the statement “Dad told me to stay out of it” at the end!

Since mom butted in anyway, score two for Satan!

I’m with Dad on this one. It’s not just husbands that have selective hearing, apparently, no matter what we may be told.
I’m just sooo glad my mother never had access to email…

I wish she had stayed out of it – I’m glad my mother doesn’t believe in Satan. Lol.
