Your dad is gross: like this is new news to us. He just got back from a long run and was in the laundry room. He bent over to pick something up sweat came out of his sleeve. Did it drip out? Of course not, it squirted out like a grapefruit!! The things you miss while you are away :)
Momsy
” He just got back from a long run” and he is sweating. Get a life girl and realise that people sweat when they exercise hard. It’s a natural bodily function.

While I don’t agree with “get a life” above, I will say that the mom is extremely lucky to have a (probably) 50 year old husband that actually gets off the couch!

Many disgusting things can happen during/immediately after a “long run,” especially if he’s doing serious long runs (10+ miles). A little reservoir of armpit sweat is practically genteel compared to what can happen after a 15- to 20-miler.

I’m with Wendy; hurray for Dad for getting out!

Little Lemon – The Mum is grossed out not due to the sweating (if he’s a runner, she’s probably used to it), but due to the fact that it “squirted out like a grapefruit”.

Jude, And the difference is?

She’s allowed to be grossed out be sweat, people. And she’s also probably trying to be funny too. Lighten up.

I was eating a grapefruit when I read this!

Wow, I can’t believe some of the ridiculous comments directed towards my mom, (“Get a life?” Really?) lighten up people. I sent this in, and just wanted to say that my mom is just one funny lady who enjoys sending me e-mails. My dad is in his 50s and has been running for about 30 years, of which my mom has been with him for most of them, so obviously she is used to sweat. In fact she runs herself and makes fun of her own stinkness. Obviously we both enjoy making fun of my dad, and I’m sorry if some people obviously can’t appreciate what a funny mother I was blessed with.

Lauren, Hip Hip Hooray that you have a funny Mom and a great relationship with your parents! Also three cheers for a Dad who runs AND bends over to pick things UP! WOW!! teheehe! Now let’s all get along and live happily ever after!

I agree! It’s so bizarre that anyone who comes to this website would come here to judge. What up, yo? Moms are inherently funny creatures, and half of us reading here are moms ourselves and know how ridiculous we are. And will continue to be.
Lauren, I think your mom is adorable and hilarious, and it’s great that both folks are active to the point of squirty sweat. More from your mama, please!

Great blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a
paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused ..
Any ideas? Kudos!
