Backstory: I was on a dinner date and texted my mother while he was in the bathroom.
Me: He is such a good door opener.
Mom: Tati
Me: Tati??
Mom: Yay!!!
Me: Oh
Mom: Bahahahahahaha
Me: Hahahahahahah you are a silly ho
Me: And we are at a fancy restaraunt!!!
Mom: Does he know you’re texting?
Mom: Use your napkin

I am missing something!

what’s not to get?

what the hell? I don’t understand this at all. WTF does “tati” mean?

I think she was trying to type “Yay” but typed Tati instead.

I have no idea what they’re talking about either. Is the daughter texting her mother while she is on the date? I get annoyed when people have such little respect for the people they are with that they pull out their phones and start to send text messages. I see couples on dates like that, and I just don’t get it.

The backstory says that she texted her mother while her date was in the bathroom. (I get annoyed with people who can’t read) :)

Fanboy Wife, I bet the daughter also thinks it’s inapropriate to text when you’re out with somebody – that’s why she respectfully waited ’til her date was in the bathroom.

i’m surprised no one is concerned about someone calling her mother a “silly ho”… i guess people have different types of relationships with their parents, but my mom would NOT stand for that.

I still don’t get this one. What is tati?

Tati seems to be a typo for “Yay”. It still isn’t very funny, however. Unless there’s something else I’m missing out on.

“k,” as i have grown up, my mom and i joke around like that, and i love it. people who are around when we joke w/ each other are often somewhat jealous of the type of relationship i have w/ my mom. why do you have to nitpick on someone’s relationship? at least they get along, a lot of mother/daughters wish they had that.

I’m not illiterate. I just hope she put the phone away before he came back from the bathroom. My main complaint was that I have seen many couples on dates where one or both parties are texting away instead of enjoying each other’s company.
