Backstory: I’m abroad for the semester and am trying to plan travel for my spring break.
Mom: where are you trying to go?
Me: um, definitely Ireland and Paris, and I’d like to go somewhere in Belgium, I’ve heard it’s amazing.
Me: And I would like to take advantage of the hookers and pot in Amsterdam, of course.
Mom: BE a hooker in Amsterdam — aim high!!

Ehm… Amsterdam is in The Netherlands, not Belgium…

I think it was meant as Amsterdam AND Belgium, not Amsterdam IN Belgium…

This one is great. You and your mom are both funny! BE a hooker – aim high!
And OP didn’t suggest Amsterdam was in Belgium – they were both on the list of places to go!

That’s a lot of places to visit in a week.

I think most European schools get a month for spring break (at least that’s how it was when I was abroad).

Come to Belgium and forget Amsterdam. There’s chocolate, waffles and hookers! ;-)

Traveling is such joy when planned well.
This trip does not sound well planned.

You and your mom have such an awesome relationship (I’m lucky to have a similar one with my mom). BE a hooker, ha!
VictorHodgins – OP is PLANNING travel for spring break, It’s not booked, these are the places they want to go.
Josh – I live in Europe and have done ALL of the those places in two days each. Enough times to see the sights and get a taste of the place to see if you want to come back!

I’m from Amsterdam, and I believe you have to be a Dutch citizen (and only by birth) to be a legal “working girl” :P
Belgium is odd and smells like cows; I’d skip it. Maybe hit Antwerp if you insist. Seriously, just go to Amsterdam, and go easy on the pot. Go to the Rijksmuseum and the Keukenhof flower gardens :)
