Travel Worries: Random Drugs

Backstory: Mum checking up on me on a 4 1/2 hr drive home.

Mum: Are you home yet?
Me: No, stopped in Bathurst by the police
Mum: What for?
Me: Random drugs test
Mum: I told you not to take random drugs!

      this one confuses me – cops pulling people over to randomly drug test them? never heard of such a thing. a li’l sketchy, daughter…

      The cops pulled me over on a races day weekend and did a random breath test and a random drugs test, at the time they were new to the police force and they make you take this stick and scrape your tongue and check from the back to the front… then you wait.

      Caty, I don’t think the letter writer is in the U.S. I’m pretty sure Bathurst is in Australia.

      Caitlin, you are correct Bathurst is in NSW, Australia and we do indeed have random roadside drug testing here in NSW.

      It is like testing for alcohol but instead on blowing in a tube you lick a disposable pad. I am not making this stuff up!
