That’s How Bad This Haircut Is.

Backstory: My mom ALWAYS goes to Supercuts. She thinks it’s a waste of money to go to a salon. Yet, she complains every time about her haircuts.

PS I got a haircut today and I look like a little boy– with wrinkles. She said, “I guess it’s a little shorter than you wanted, huh?” I’m meeting people for lunch tomorrow and I might need to wear my wig–that’s how bad it is! I may have to use the men’s locker room tomorrow. That’s how bad it is. I now have 3 bald spots. That’s how bad it is.

My mom complains about her haircuts too, but refuses to go to a GOOD salon (like mine), and then gives me a hard time for what I spend on a cut/colour. I keep telling her, this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for! Glad to see I’m not the only one with a mom like that :)

I’m so glad that I live in a place where a cut & color from a great stylist runs about $50-60.

I always get my hair cut at Great Clips for about ten bucks. The trick is having long hair and no ‘style’ so they can’t mess it up. If I have short hair or layers or something fancy or a job, a better haircut would be in order.

if your hair is that simple, why not just DIY it? I have long hair too and for over two years I refused to let someone else cut it so I just gave myself a trim now and then. I have some long layers though now, so it’s off to the salon for me.
